This past week I was talking with a client about life, and she mentioned that she had a plan… for example how many kids she wanted, where she wanted to live, when she wanted to retire and where etc… she kept referring to it… her plan… it really struck me.
Do I have a plan? where do I want to be in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years? What do I want out of life, what would I be unhappy if I didnt accomplish… you get the point, it really got me thinking… I am thinking about getting a journal, not this public blog, but a real paper journal to help me put pen to paper and think through what i want out of “this” life…I know that i want to be a good person, a good mother and leave the world better. I want to be kind, and loving and I want to be someone who is more happy than not… other than that I dont really know…
There are things that I know I dont want, but when i thought about it briefly it really made me think…
Do you have a plan? Do you know what you really want out of life?

Here are a few from a engagement session before the snow came and covered my world in white…
I knew Sierra’s older sister in high school and I would sometimes hear from her big sister that she couldn’t wait for them to get engaged so that they could have portraits done by me… It was so exciting when I finally heard that they were engaged!! It was so fun to hang out with these two, they are so in love! Its funny how grown up she is, i just remember her being the baby sister of a friend and now she is all grown up and getting married!! Congrats to both of you!!

Ive been working on my 2009 family album lately… its funny how a whole year can fly by… i saw these snapshots of the girls from last year when they had spent a good afternoon dressing up and doing their own makeup… here are 2 pages from my own personal album.
This sweetie was due Christmas but didn’t come till about a week later… He was so sweet and easy to work with… What a beautiful newborn!

Ive been recently setting up the studio and i took some picture of my girls… there is nothing that makes me smile more than getting sweet pictures of my own kids… call it a mothers love… I just love them…

There is something about winter that makes me want to just curl up at night with a glass of wine and knit and read… not spend endless hours on the internet blogging etc… But i know i need to keep this journal updated, so i thought i would share just one from yesterday, i had 2 beautiful newborn sessions and they were dreamy!! There are days that I just smile thinking about my job, think about the beautiful art I make… I just love the miracle of life… though i am almost positive i will stick with the 2 miracles I have, I just love being able to capture these sweeties.
